CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER
Vanalt is currently recruiting for an Entry Level Construction Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer with Vanalt, you will develop skills in:

A bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field of study.

Construction experience or construction related internship experience is preferred.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER (NEW JERSEY)
Due to a large multi-year backlog of work and numerous prospects, we are looking to expand our staff. This has created the immediate opportunity for an experienced construction project manager. The open position is specifically for the NJ Transit Portal Bridge Project in Kearny, NJ which is expected to last until 2028; however, long term employment and growth within the company is expected. The individual would be assigned as on-site Project Manager for the catenary, feeder and transmission line work we will be performing on the project. The employee will work for Vanalt’s senior project manager.
Responsibilities of the position include:

Communication and coordination with the General Contractor & Owner

Representation of Vanalt on-site and at project progress and coordination meetings
-
Development of work plans with the assistance of Vanalt’s field superintendent
-
Work with and support the project superintendent to ensure that construction occurs efficiently and according to schedule
-
Coordination of field labor with project schedules and railroad outages
-
Procurement, requisition, and management of project materials
-
Documentation and notice of construction delays, issues, and RFIs
-
Working with management personnel to prepare monthly billing, progress, and budget documents

Successful candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:

A bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field of study
-
A minimum of five years construction management experience (Experience in transit work and line work is preferred but not required.)

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Experience in Procore, Kojo, and Sage 300 is desired but not initially required.)

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
-
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
